Hengyi Industries Sdn Bhd yesterday held a stakeholder dialogue and engagement session with the aim to inform the relevant stakeholders and community members on the upcoming turnaround activity of the refinery plant at Pulau Muara Besar (PMB).
Several representatives from different government and non-government organisation and agencies were present during the stakeholder dialogue.
During the engagement session Hengyi Industries’ Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental Executive Sham Khiruddin led the briefing on the refinery plant turnaround. Also joining the session were Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Hengyi Industries Xu Ye; Head of Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) Hai Cheng; Director of General Affairs and Company Secretary Li Peng; Director of Human Resources Alan Goh; Head of Scheduling and Dispatch Department Jin Rentong and Legal Counsel of Hengyi Industries Pengiran Siti Rosanidah binti Pengiran Haji Idris.
The stakeholders were briefed on the timeline and the scope, as well as the potential risks and the response plan that will be implemented during the turnaround.
The turnaround is estimated to begin in March 2023 until the end of April 2023. After the engagement session, stakeholders were given the opportunity to ask questions and raise concerns related to the refinery turnaround during the question-and-answer session.
