The Kuala Belait and Seria Municipal Board yesterday held a tree planting and cleaning campaign at Sri Selera Seria Complex in Pekan Seria as part of its continued effort to ensure the cleanliness and safety of the area.
Acting Chairman of the Kuala Belait and Seria Municipal Board Haji Azmi bin Haji Abdul Rahim and Acting Deputy Chairman Arifpin bin Haji Bujang also participated in the activities.
The campaign was part of the many activities and programmes planned by the municipal board for 2022.
The campaign began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by the planting of four conifer saplings at the premises, and officers and staff of the municipal board cleaning the area.
The event was hoped to instil awareness on the importance of maintaining cleanliness of the environment, which is a shared responsibility among the municipal board, vendors and its visitors.
