Out of 681 candidates who sat for the Brunei Religious Education Certificate (SPUB) exam this year, 320 students, or 46.99 per cent, scored Jayyid (excellent) in all subjects.
This was said by the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) through the Examination Division, Islamic Studies Department as the Secretariat of the Brunei Religious Education Examination Board yesterday.
Meanwhile 531 candidates (77.97 per cent) obtained at least an excellent in at least four subjects, while 74 candidates (10.87 per cent) obtained an aggregate between six and eight.
Candidates can obtain their result slips from their schools, while the slips for private candidates are available at the Examination Division Office, Islamic Studies Department of the MoRA building in Jalan Dewan Majlis, Berakas during office hours. Candidates interested in continuing their studies at the pre-university level at Hassanal Bolkiah Boys Arabic Secondary School (SMALHB) can obtain the registration and admission form starting December 16 at 8.30am at Jalan Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha.
The deadline to submit the application is on December 20. Candidates, parents and guardians can also obtain the results through the short message service (SMS) by registering for the service by typing KHEU (space) REG (space) examination centre number (space) candidate index number (space) identification card number and send to 8885555 for DST users, 39966 for imagine or 38666 for Progresif users. – Azlan Othman
