The Family Counselling Service Division at the Syariah Affairs Department, Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA), in collaboration with Fiqh Al-Usrah Research Centre of the Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB), held a talk on the importance of family recently.
Officer from Family Counselling Service Division Nur Ayuni binti Suhili presented the talk, highlighting the different roles in the family.
The talk covered youth involved in various activities including deviant Internet activities, smoking and leaving homes, which affect the family.
Officer from the Household Concealing Service Division Siti Nur Juhaidah binti Haji Julidy touched on how the actions of individuals affect the household.
She emphasised on the importance of communication to identify and find solutions to family issues. She shared that there are four stages in family counselling – identify problems; analysing the situation; insights; and re-orientation.
