A signing of sponsorship for the 8th Pelangi Awards was held at the main building of Radio Television Brunei (RTB) broadcasting complex in Sungai Akar on Thursday.
Signing on behalf of RTB was Acting Director of RTB Cheong Chee Keong.
Pelangi Awards serve as RTB’s appreciation and recognition of local artistes active in the industry including singing and songwriting.
The event is hosted every two years. In addition, it aims to promote higher quality music to further elevate the local entertainment industry.
Eight categories will be contested in the 8th Pelangi Awards – Best Male Vocal, Best Female Vocal, Best Duo or Group Vocal, Best New Artist, Best Song, Best Inspirational Song and Best Music Video as well as exclusive awards.
