The Children’s Cancer Foundation (YAKSA) held a signing ceremony at D’Sunlit Sdn Bhd’s multipurpose hall with sponsors and partners for their ‘Hope in Motion’ charity event which will be held on August 27.
The charity event is an obstacle run with three categories of participation – Hope Bringer (5km), Change Champion (2.5km) and the Courage Crew, which will comprise supporters and cheer runners.
Yesterday, Hengyi Industries Sdn Bhd was signed as the event’s title sponsor. Hengyi Industries Director of General Affairs Li Peng signed on behalf of the company.
Meanwhile, the Brunei Methanol Company Sdn Bhd was signed as the Dream Maker sponsor. Deputy CEO Abdul Mu’izz bin Dato Paduka Haji Alikhan signed on behalf of the company yesterday.
DHJ Sdn Bhd and Fuzhou Shiyyi Association were signed as event supporters, with DHJ’s Yapp Boon Kang and Fuzhou Shiyyi’s Dato Gilbert Tiong signing on behalf of their organisations. The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (CBTL) Brunei signed on as an event partner, represented by general manager Art Terado and head of marketing Ida Paters.
Aewon was signed as the event apparel provider, represented by Francesca Chong while Helmi Abdullah Fitness was signed on as the event warm-up partner.
D’Sunlit was signed as the event manager, represented by the company’s managing director Jackson Ting.
Registration for the run ends on August 15. YAKSA is a non-governmental organisation that supports children with cancer in Brunei and was established to spread awareness and understanding on childhood cancer and its impact. – Lyna Mohamad
