In a spectacular display of speed and mechanical skill, over 60 participants from Brunei and beyond gathered at the atrium of KB Sentral Shopping Centre in the Belait District for the three-day-long KB Cup Tamiya Mini 4WD Championship.

Organised by the YTRC Mini 4WD Racing Group in collaboration with KB Sentral Shopping Centre, the competition kicked off on July 26. Participants, along with their finely tuned Tamiya Mini 4WD cars, took to a specially laid-out course at the venue.

According to the organisers, the track is unique in Borneo, featuring a five-lane setup instead of the traditional three-lane track. This innovative design created a tense atmosphere as up to five Tamiya Mini 4WD cars raced simultaneously, completing five laps around the course.

During the first two days, participants raced on the five-lane track to post their best time overall (BTO), which determined their starting groups.
