Negalang Primary School teacher Fadela Slamdien was one of the teachers who greeted the arrival of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and members of the royal family during the get-together ceremony in conjunction with His Majesty’s 76th birthday celebration in Temburong District yesterday.
Fadela, who is from South Africa has attended every get-together for the past five years.
She said, “I am excited to be able to celebrate His Majesty’s birthday celebration again for the fifth time. Today, we have around 50 to 100 students from Negalang Primary School.
Celebrating His Majesty’s birthday is special because we get to see how people from all walks of life come to show their devotion and loyalty to the monarch.
“May His Majesty always be blessed with continued good health. Happy 76th birthday to His Majesty.”
