As an avid radio listener, I have been struck by the frequency of songs played at our local station that go against the country’s Malay Islamic Monarchy (MIB) philosophy.
These songs carry lyrics that promote non-Islamic romantic relationships. As such, the management should have vetted all songs before they hit the airwaves.
I hope the authorities would be more diligent in snubbing out these controversial songs to make our airwaves safe and MIB-compliant for local listeners.
