Authorities foiled a smuggling attempt through the Temburong jungle recently, seizing around 372 bottles of alcohol, according to the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF).
The RBPF said police personnel carried out the operation on an area believed to be used as a centre for unloading and distributing contraband.
Authorities found 31 boxes containing the contraband, and also detained a local believed to be involved in the smuggling operation.
The case reported to the Bangar Police Station was handed over to the Royal Customs and Excise Department for further action. – James Kon
