It was a cool afternoon in a busy commercial district when I saw a person light up a ‘cancer stick’, forcing shoppers nearby to inhale the toxic fume.
Being one of his victims, I had the urge to tell him off for breaking the law. But when I finally decided to confront him, it was already too late. I had disappeared into the crowd.
I would like to appeal to these smokers to abide by the law of standing six feet from a building before engaging in the habit. Smoking is not only rude but it damages the health of others, especially those who have medical conditions such as asthma.
Please be considerate to those of us who have chosen not to pick up the habit and refrain from contaminating the air that is shared by all of us.
