Over 60 female members of Sultan Muhammad Jamalul Alam Secondary School (SMJA) 75’ alumni group attended a high tea reception at Parkview Hotel recently.
The event began with a recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Kesyukuran.
Event organiser Hajah Jahlelawati binti Haji Abdul Jalil said the gathering was aimed at strengthening ties among old school friends after decades of separation.
It also saw prayers for attendees’ well-being and hope for lasting friendship. She said the event was also a networking event to promote the members’ businesses.
The gathering saw a presentation of donations to families of departed alumni by Hajah Jahlelawati.
The presentation was witnessed by group chairman Haji Abdurahman bin Haji Nasir.
The donations were funded by monthly and annual contributions from the alumni.
