The Society for the Management of Autism Related issues in Training, Education and Resources (SMARTER) Brunei has signed a memorandum of understanding with Gold Coin Feedmill (B) Sdn Bhd, to allow the company to continue supporting the centre.

The agreement was signed between Assistant Vice President of Gold Coin Feedmill (B) Sdn Bhd Marshal Mathews Chuat and President of SMARTER Brunei Pengiran Zamri bin Pengiran Haji Bujang during an event at the SMARTER Brunei Baca Gift Centre yesterday.

“It is our way of contributing to the community,” Chuat said, adding that SMARTER Brunei is their first targetted organisation.

“Our headquarters have allocated a portion of the company’s budget to supply certain equipment as well as essential tools and items to the centre,” he said.

“We will also facilitate the maintenance of SMARTER Brunei Kuala Belait branch. Our staff will be physically present to carry out tasks at the centre such as roofing repairs and painting.”

The company also contributed essential tools and items to SMARTER Brunei including three units of laminating machine, three boxes of A3-sized film pouches, three units of printers, 3,000 antigen rapid test kits, 60 bottles of hand sanitiser, three fogging machines and 30 boxes of medical face masks for adults and children.

Pengiran Zamri expressed gratitude to the company, and called for others to support SMARTER Brunei.
