Smart meter issue rectified

DST Network Sdn Bhd (DSTN) said the Unified Smart Metering System (USMS) experienced issues between December 17 and December 27, 2023 resulting in discrepancies customers’ consumption and accounts.

DSTN apologised to the public for the disruptions and confirmed that the issues have been rectified on December 29, 2023.

However, some customers may still be experiencing difficulties and they are advised to contact DSTN via its helpline or call Darussalam 123.

“If users experience any discrepancies in charges applied to their Smart Meter accounts, or require any further clarification or assistance, contact us at 7399889 or 7399899 during working hours,” it said in a statement.

DSTN also informed that USMS will be undergoing system upgrades from 1am on January 16 to avoid re-occurrence of the incident.

DSTN said it is currently working to check affected customers’ accounts to ensure the accuracy of the charges and consumption.
