Six cases in Category 4, none in Category 5

The Sultanate has zero cases in Category 5 requiring treatment in the intensive care unit, while six cases are in Category 4 requiring respiratory assistance and under close monitoring.

The latest updates on the COVID-19 situation in the Sultanate was shared in the Ministry of Health’s daily statement.

Meanwhile the coverage rate of people in the country who have received the fourth dose of the COVID-19 vaccine has reached 2.6 per cent.

The overall coverage rate for the country’s citizens and residents who have received three doses reached 73.2 per cent.

Meanwhile, the COVID-19 vaccination rate for children aged five to 11 having received two doses is at 75.1 per cent while for the third dose is at 50.1 per cent.

No fatalities due to COVID-19 were reported in the last 24 hours.

A total of 871 cases have recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries to 160,954.
