    Singing contest crowns champion

    Mohammad Alisa bin Haji Ali Rahman, also known as Aie Rahman was named the winner of the Best 914 singing competition at the Brunei-Muara perayaan stage yesterday evening.

    Aie Rahman received a cash prize of BND1,000, along with a four-day-three-night stay at Rimbun Suites and Residences as well as a recording of a new song and music video.

    Meanwhile, Norinah binti Duraman (Wen Izat) won second place and a cash prize of BND800 and a three-day-two-night stay at Rimbun Suites and Residences.

    Third place went to Nurul Ain Nadiah binti Benny (Nadiaa Benny), who won BND600 and a two-day-one-night stay at Rimbun Suites and Residences. A consolation prize of BND300 was also awarded to four of the seven finalists.

    Meanwhile, Nurul Farah Hazimah binti Rozaimi (Farah) was honoured with the ‘Star Best 914’ award for receiving the most ‘likes’ on the Pelangi FM instagram. The ‘Star Best 914’ winner received a cash prize of BND200.

    The 19th edition of the ‘Best 914’ competition was hosted by Radio Television Brunei (RTB) through Pelangi FM. RTB Acting Director Cheong Chee Keong presented trophies, certificates and prizes.

    Best 914 was first introduced in 2002, following the Vokal Pelangi singing segment aired every Wednesday at 4pm. Monthly champions from this segment compete in the Best 914 finals. – Fadley Faisal
