Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance of Singapore Lawrence Wong and spouse Loo Tze Lui yesterday made a working visit to Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (BKISHHB).
The delegation was also joined by Senior Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security, Teo Chee Hean; Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office, Second Minister for Finance and Second Minister for National Development Indranee Thurai Rajah; Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment and Ministry of Manpower Dr Koh Poh Koon; Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Communications and Information and Ministry of National Development Zaqy Mohamad; Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Communications and Information and Ministry of National Development Tan Kiat How.
Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, as the Chairman of the BKISHHB Advisory Board welcomed the Singaporean Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance and delegation.
Also present were Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman as the Deputy Chairman of the BKISHHB Advisory Board and Director of Balai Khazanah Islam Dr Haji Awang Mohammed Hussain bin Pehin Penyurat Awang Haji Ahmad.
The tour began with a briefing by the BKISHHB director followed by the signing of parchment by Lawrence Wong before receiving a book on BKISHHB from Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin and a tour of the exhibition gallery. – Rokiah Mahmud
