Singapore Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Lawrence Wong is in the Sultanate for a two-day official visit, the first to Brunei in his current capacity, Singapore’s Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said yesterday.
Deputy Prime Minister Wong will have audiences with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office.
He will also meet Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, as well as the Singaporean community in Brunei.
Deputy Prime Minister Wong is accompanied by Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Finance, and Ministry of Communications and Information.
