Singapore’s Minister for Social and Family Development, Second Minister for Health and Minister-in-Charge of Muslim Affairs Masagos Zulkifli bin Masagos Mohamad and delegation paid a visit to the State Mufti’s Office yesterday.
State Mufti Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia (Dr) Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned welcomed the minister and delegation.
Singaporean High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam Laurence Bay Siow Hon; Chief Executive of the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (MUIS) Kadir Maideen; Singaporean Deputy High Commissioner Shaun Grosse; Manager of Religious Policy (Office of the Mufti) MUIS Dr Feirul Maliq; and Manager of Strategic Communications (Strategic Engagement) at MUIS Izzairin Swandi accompanied the minister.
In his welcoming remarks, the State Mufti expressed appreciation for the minister’s concern in understanding the formation of religious life in the face of contemporary challenges.
Meanwhile, in his responding remarks, the minister shared that Singapore has been working on establishing a community of success for the past five years and the country works to ensure its diverse community lives in harmony.
