The Hunting Akbar Macro Nusantara (HAMN) 2023 theme centred around the loss of an important figure – a father to the Macro Fotografi Nusantara community, the late Teguh Santosa.
Themed ‘The Reflection’ with the tagline ‘A Special Tribute To Almarhum Teguh Santosa’, HAMN 2023 was dedicated to the memory of Teguh Santosa and his efforts in promoting bringing macrophotography in Indonesia as well as the themes present in his work, such as those identifying “the effects of the dew which supports other objects shadow in its drops”.
The event’s participants comprised Nusantara Macro Big Family, 53 members from the Indonesia, Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam.
The event also aimed to encourage participants to reflect personally as well as on the community as a whole in their works, and promote a communal spirit. – Lyna Mohamad
