Showroom opens with fresh look, new SUV

Grand Motors Sdn Bhd, the exclusive distributor of Kia automotive in the Sultanate, has reached yet another milestone with the launch of the new Kia showroom as well as the unveiling of the all-new Sportage.

Present to launch the new showroom based on Kia’s new design philosophy, ‘Opposites United’, and in line with Kia’s latest brand slogan, ‘Movement that Inspires’, were Korean Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam Kim Soung-eun and President of Kia Asia Pacific

Headquarters Ted Lee, as well as Grand Motors Sdn Bhd’s Managing Director Frankie Ho and Executive Director Haji Shaiful Rizal bin Pehin Dato Dr Haji Ahmad.

Frankie Ho, in his welcoming remarks said, “It seems like it was only yesterday when Grand Motors and Kia began a partnership. Back in 1996, our Kia showroom was a modest, shared space.

“After so many years, Kia has become a well-loved brand in Brunei. Together with the support of our partners in South Korea, we have been able to establish a solid foothold in the local automotive scene.

He continued, “Over the last 26 years, we have seen how Kia has grown to become a world leader not only in vehicle design, but also in quality, reliability, and technological innovation.

“And Kia’s consistent top five standing in the local market, even becoming the market leader in terms of sales at one point, shows how the brand is fully trusted and accepted in the country.

“The investment Kia has poured into lifting the brand, and its model line-up over the years, is truly commendable. And we, at Grand Motors, can only do as much to match the dedication of Kia to its partners and customers. As a shining symbol of Grand Motors’ commitment to the brand and to the people of Brunei, our Kia showroom will be a source of inspiration for our loyal customers where they will be able to learn more about Kia as a brand. It will also be a venue for them to fulfill their dreams of owning their next vehicle.”

Meanwhile, President of Kia Asia Pacific Headquarters Ted Lee said, “Kia has been writing a truly remarkable success story in the recent decades based on its attractive design, world-class quality and inspiring brand philosophy.”

He revealed that Kia is going through a complete brand makeover with a new corporate logo and a global brand slogan.

On the launch of the new Kia Sportage, he mentioned, “As our world bestselling model, Kia Sportage has something different and unique for our customers. I have no doubt that with this all-new Sportage, Kia Brunei will have to extend their opening hours!”

The Korean ambassador also congratulated Grand Motors for the launch of its new showroom and the new Kia Sportage.

Following the speech, the envoy joined Lee, Ho and Haji Shaiful Rizal in the unveiling of the new Kia Sportage.

According to Grand Motors, Kia’s new brand slogan was introduced yesterday at the heart of a brand manifesto which reflects Kia’s new mission of inspiring consumers through products, services, and experiences with the brand.
