Fifty-four student projects were featured at the recent Halal Product Innovation Showcase 2022 organised by Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) through the Halalan Thayyiban Research Centre (HTRC) with the collaboration of the Faculty of Agriculture.
The showcase was held at UNISSA, Sinaut Campus, Tutong District from November 7 to 8.
HTRC Director and Chairperson of the showcase Pengiran Dr Hajah Norkhairiah binti Pengiran Haji Hashim said the showcase was geared towards providing a platform for students to showcase their products, projects, creativity and innovative ideas to the public.
Higher education institutions, secondary and primary schools, and university staff and students were also present.
Of the 54 projects, 12 innovative halal products were showcased by the Objectives of Islamic Law in Halal Industry modules course students, eight from Halal Logistics module course students, 11 from Halal Consumerism module course students, 12 from Introduction to the Science of Halalan Thayyiban module course students, 10 from Philosophy of Halalan Thayyiban module courses and one project featured by the Faculty of Agriculture students.
