The Department of Economic Planning and Statistics (JPES) under the Ministry Finance and Economy will hold the national sales event, the Brunei Salebration (BSb) 2023 from December 4 to February 15, 2024.
The 74-day event is held to help stimulate economic activities especially through the promotion of local products and tourism activities.
JPES welcomes retailers from various sectors to seize the opportunity to offer attractive discounts and competitive prices for goods and services through participation in BSb 2023.
The list of BSb 2023 participants will be shared in the Pengguna Bijak app for publicity purposes and to make it easier for consumers.
Participants need to comply with the regulations of the Sale Price Event, Price Tag Display Order and Consumer Protection Order (Fair Trading), 2011.
This includes displaying price tags and discounts clearly to ensure price transparency and enable consumers make informed purchasing choices.
The BSb 2023 Sale Notice issued by JPES must be displayed at each business premises.
Last year’s BSb event attracted more than 400 business premises including business buildings, furniture stores, boutiques and shoe stores, beauty and health salons, books, sports and jewellery stores.
Traders who wish to participate in the event can present the Sales Information Form starting today until November 20, 2023. – Azlan Othman
