Seven foreign workers were detained during Operasi Sakat 154/2034 following inspections by enforcement officers at Pasar Tani Setenaga in Mukim Sengkurong recently.
One detainee had committed several offences including overstaying, not working under the registered employer and engaging in a job different from the passport.
Meanwhile, another three committed an offence by not working under the registered employer and for not working in the position stated in the passport.
Another committed an offence by working while holding a visit pass and the other was not working under the registered employer.
The Immigration and National Registration Department reminded the public, especially employers, to ensure that workers’ passports are always valid and to ensure that each worker is employed in accordance with the registered position.
