Seven locals completed their first basic radiation safety course organised by Beta Testing Services (BTS) Sdn Bhd on Thursday at its training centre in the Belait District.
Led by BTS technical manager and ISO trainer Balakrishnan Chandramohan, the course was held after the company received certification from the Safety, Health and Environment National Authority (SHENA) to conduct the course in the Sultanate.
Chandramohan said the course participants are working with the Brunei International Airport Cargo Department to maintain the cargo X-ray scanning system.
“We are happy that SHENA approved the courses to be held locally, which is more convenient for participants,” he said, adding that it will increase personnel competency across the industries. – Daniel Lim
