In his address, Dr Haji Norarfan encouraged students to set new resolutions, enhance their efforts, and strive for success as university students who will contribute to the nation.

He emphasised that true success requires more than just obtaining good grades; it involves developing high credibility, integrity, and charisma to build a solid foundation for continuous success. He urged students to maintain their momentum for success through personal development, including mental resilience in facing challenges and failures. By thinking positively and working hard, students can turn failures into opportunities for self-improvement, fostering creativity and innovation for long-term success.

The five-day orientation week features several programmes aimed at introducing new students to important aspects of life at UNISSA. These include appreciating religious life, developing excellent character, leadership, and community involvement.

The induction briefings will cover the academic process, study programs, compulsory university courses, as well as learning facilities and co-curricular programs. Additionally, students will participate in various religious, motivational, mental health, leadership, and community activities for personal development. This year’s community service program will take place in various locations across the Brunei-Muara, Tutong, and Belait districts. – ROKIAH MAHMUD
