Service champions celebrated with awards

Brunei Shell Marketing Company Sdn Bhd (BSM) launched the fifth edition of the ‘Fill Safe, Feel Safe’ campaign and held the Service Champion Day celebration at J Hotel yesterday.

Minister of Transport and Infocommunications Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha was the guest of honour.

Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary presented the Retail HSSE Ambassador 2023 with their official appointment letter, recognised long-standing service champions for their tenures of 20, 25, 30, and 35 years with appreciation certificates, acknowledged exemplary safety interventions by service champions, and concluded by honouring three Smiling Stars Champions from Malaysia for their role when they shared their experiences and motivated the service champions in Brunei to enhance their service delivery standards.

BSM Managing Director Muhammad Norshafiee bin Dato Paduka Haji Abdul Jalil emphasised the role of service champions in ensuring refuelling at Shell retail stations comply with safety guidelines at the station.

He added, “This year’s campaign will focus on several themes including safety at retail stations, customer experience, the fuel directive, care for service champions and road safety.”

The campaign’s message will be disseminated in phases across various platforms such as BSM’s official Facebook and Instagram account, BSM’s website, newspapers, radio, television, and other media channels.

The ceremony also showcased the premiere of the ‘Fill Safe, Feel Safe’ video, soon to be available on BSM’s social media.

Another video showcased was ‘Project Transformasi’ – a BSM initiative that introduces innovative working methods at Shell retail stations, including the introduction of Workjam, an engaging platform for service champions.

The annual ‘Fill Safe, Feel Safe’ campaign has significantly shaped public awareness, fostering an understanding of safety guidelines at retail stations, and reduced the number of incidents at Shell retail stations.

In May 2022, BSM received Best HSSE Initiative Award for its ‘Fill Safe, Feel Safe’ campaign during the Shell License summit in Bologna, Italy. – Azlan Othman
