PUJA Academy Sdn Bhd (PASB) in collaboration with Changaroth International Consultancy organised a seminar at the Senate Room, Chancellor Hall, Universiti Brunei Darussalam titled ‘Construction Industry: A fresh look at Collaborative approach to managing projects, avoiding conflicts resolving disputes’ on Saturday.
The speaker at the webinar was Anil Changaroth from Changaroth International Consultancy.
Two representatives from Brunei participated in the seminar, with Lenny Rahman from HLR Advocates and Solicitors moderating and Law Society of Brunei Darussalam President Haji Mansur bin Dato Paduka Dr Haji Latif explaining the law aspects from Brunei’s perspectives and on the benefits of mediation as a form of dispute resolution before going down the litigation path.
The seminar was divided into two sessions, with the first half on ‘Considering how the world has changed, affected supply chain, and the kind of construction disputes that could well arise’ while the second half was on ‘Considering the changing landscape of appropriate conflict avoidance and dispute resolution and collaborative contracting’.
The seminar saw the participation of over 80 individuals comprising PUJA members and members of the construction industry.
