Belait Sixth Form Centre was the last stop of Information Department’s Semarak Hari Keputeraan programme.
Deputy Minister (Civil Service Governance) at the Prime Minister’s Office Dato Seri Paduka Mohd Riza bin Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Yunos participated in the event.
The deputy minister was welcomed on arrival by Acting Director of Information Department Sastra Sarini binti Haji Julaini. The event began with a video presentation on Selawat by the department’s male officers and staff.
This was followed by a lecture titled ‘Maqasid al-Syari’ah in Leadership and Zikir Nation’ by Dean of Students at Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali Dr Haji Mohammad Shahrol Azmi bin Haji Abdul Muluk.
The deputy minister and guests toured a photography exhibition at the school’s foyer by the Information Department’s Photography Unit. The exhibition showcased moments captured during the recent royal get-together ceremony in the Belait District.
The event was held in conjunction with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s 77th birthday celebration Legislative Council members Yang Berhormat Haji Mohd Salleh bin Haji Othman and Yang Berhormat Mohammad bin Abdullah @ Lim Swee Ann as well as Acting Belait District Officer Haji Amirol Hafidzin bin Haji Muhammad were also present. – Daniel Lim
