The Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications (MTIC) held a Khatam Al-Quran ceremony at the Brunei International Airport Surau yesterday.
The ceremony was organised by the Brunei Darussalam Meteorological Department (BDMD).
Minister of Transport and Infocommunications Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha participated in the ceremony.
Certificates of participation were also presented to attendees of the religious workshops organised by the surau over the holy month of Ramadhan.
The annual Khatam Al-Quran ceremony seeks to earn multiple rewards from Allah the Almighty and enliven Ramadhan with the recitation of Al-Quran verses.
Also present were Permanent Secretary at the MTIC Haji Mohammad Nazri bin Haji Mohammad Yusof, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Infocommunications) at the MTIC Haji Hairul Mohd Daud bin Haji Abdul Karim and Acting Deputy Permenant Secretary (Transport) at the MTIC Haji Mohd Salihin bin Haji Aspar.
