The Brunei Darussalam Scouts Association (PPNBD) recently organised a Sunnat Hajat prayer at the Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque in Pekan Tutong, to seek blessings and protection from Allah the Almighty for the National Jamboree on December 2-7.
The event started with a mass Zohor prayer, followed by Sunnat Hajat prayer, the recitation of Surah Yaasiin and a special prayer.
The jamboree is a camping activity that brings together local and international scout members. The participants will take part in outdoor activities, such as scouting skills, excursion, cultural activities and community work.
The jamboree will be held at Bukit Bendera near the Tutong District Sports Complex and the Tutong District Scout Association headquarters.
PPNBD President Dato Paduka Ar Haji Idris bin Haji Abas was the guest of honour. Chief Commissioner Haji Awang Badar bin Haji Awang Ali was also present. – Azlan Othman
