In preparation for Brunei Darussalam’s upcoming 41st National Day celebration, the Second Meeting of the 41st National Day Celebration Executive Committee 2025 was convened Tuesday at Dewan Digadong, Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Sports.
The meeting served as a follow-up to the first Executive Committee meeting and focused on key preparations for the National Day celebration. Discussions included confirmation of the field performance format, venues, guest lists for ceremonies, the event logo and theme, as well as details for the march-past, oath recitation, and rehearsals.
The meeting was co-chaired by the Minister of Culture, Youth, and Sports Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Nazmi bin Haji Awang Mohamad; the Minister of Development Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Muhammad Juanda bin Haji Abdul Rashid; and the Minister of Education Datin Seri Setia Dr Dayang Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Md Salleh.
In his opening remarks, the Minister of Culture, Youth, and Sports highlighted that preparations are progressing to ensure the success of the grand assembly ceremony scheduled for Sunday, February 23, 2025. He emphasised the importance of adopting a Whole-of-Nation Approach, allowing all committees to collaborate effectively to ensure the celebration runs smoothly, systematically, and with greater decorum than in previous years.
Also present at the meeting were the Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, who serves as joint advisor; Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohammad Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan; Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan; and Acting Commissioner of the Royal Brunei Police Force Dato Seri Pahlawan Awang Sulaiman bin Alidin, as deputy co-chairs.
