Scouts get ready for December jamboree

Eighty-six participants comprising scout commissioners, scout leaders, adult members and rover scouts recently participated in a ‘Safe from Harm and Leave No Trace Workshop’ organised by the Brunei Darussalam Scouts Association (PPNBD).

The course was part of the preparation for the fifth National Jamboree of Brunei Darussalam.

The ‘Safe from Harm’ workshop aimed to provide exposure to its members on how to prevent inappropriate behaviours such as abuse, bullying, discrimination, cultural misunderstandings, disrespectful acts and other forms of harm.

Meanwhile, the ‘Leave No Trace’ course served to promote environmental conservation and to conduct outdoor activities, while preserving and protecting the environment.
