Members of the Brunei Darussalam Scouts Association (PPNBD) will participate in the 25th World Scout Jamboree from August 1 to 12, 2023 in Saemangeum, South Korea.
PPNBD will send an 18-member contingent to the jamboree hosted by the Korea Scouts Association.
These details were revealed during a briefing at PPNBD’s multipurpose hall on October 9.
International Commissioner Haji Abdul Manan bin Haji Abdul Latif; and Adult Resources Commissioner and head of delegation Haji Hassan bin Haji Abdul Hamid delivered the briefing sharing information on the jamboree and related activities.
The briefing saw a question-and-answer session with parents and guardians of the scouts.
The jamboree is a youth camp that will see 50,000 participants aged between 12 to 17 and scout leaders from 170 countries sharing their culture and experience.
Themed ‘Draw Your Dream’, the jamboree will focus on extreme activities, United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) and green technology.
