Sixty-nine students and teachers from Katok ‘B’ Religious School visited Jerudong Fire Station, Operation ‘F’ Branch of the Fire and Rescue Department (FRD) recently.
The visitors were given a briefing on the tasks and roles of firefighters by Station Commander of Jerudong Fire Station Acting ASFR Aliman bin Haji Salleh.
They were shown rescue equipment and given a ride on a fire engine. The visitors were given a demonstration of extinguishing fire using foam releasing equipment.
Meanwhile, 64 participants from St George’s School attended a fire safety briefing by Public Relations Division of Operation ‘A’ Branch of the FRD. The briefing was aimed at raising awareness on fire safety.
St George’s School Principal Janidi Jingan was also present.
