School promotes obesity awareness

Sayyidina Umar Al-Khattab Secondary School (SMSUA) launched the AL-Mansoura A-Team Group’s PS3: Sedia Sihat Semangat program on Saturday, July 4, to raise awareness about obesity among students. The event, held in the school’s multipurpose hall, was attended by principal Cikgu Sinasuria binti Haji Ibrahim and officers from the Health Promotion Centre (HPC).

The principal launched the PS3 program and the “One Fruit a Day” initiative, featuring watermelon. The event included an A-Team video, a success story on “How I Beat Obesity” by Muhammad Haqeme, and presentations of certificates and awards to HPC, PRS-I alumni, and competition winners.

An exhibition on healthy diets and interactive games were also showcased. – LYNA MOHAMAD
