Sports School staff and students will enjoy a greener environment in school after the launch of Project House Gardens and the handover of hydroponic systems yesterday.

Science Technology Environment Partnership Centre (STEP Centre) head Hajah Suriani binti Haji Noor Hashim was the guest of honour.

The event began with welcoming remarks by acting principal Hajah Nor Aisah binti Haji Mohd Salleh followed by the planting and decorating works of the gardens. Some 21 teachers, coaches and staff who took the hydroponics course provided guidance to students.

Hajah Suriani then officiated the handover of the hydroponic system sets. The initiative is a cooperation between STEP Centre and Sports School.

The Project House Gardens is a school initiative to establish green activities by following the Green School Initiative of Green School Spaces policy to create a green, clean, healthy and safe school environment.
