A handover ceremony was held yesterday at the Centre of Islamic Calligraphy and Arts Studies of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah. The event marked the donation of BND1,311.36 from St John’s School to the Pengiran Muda Mahkota Al-Muhtadee Billah Fund for Orphans (DANA).
The school’s Senior Master of Administration Matthew Lim Toh Loy handed over the donation which represents five per cent of the school’s walkathon collection held on November 16.
Assistant Managing Director of Yayasan Major (Rtd) Sopian bin Haji Mohammad Yassin received the donation on behalf of DANA.
As the secretariat for DANA, the foundation expressed gratitude for the support and donation, which will contribute to the fund’s efforts to improve the well-being of orphans in the country. – Lyna Mohamad
