STJ PGGMB Lambak School organised an Earth Day celebration recently.
Themed “Investing in our Planet”, guest of honour and PGGMB President Haji Awang Abdul Alim bin Haji Awang Othman led the planting of banana saplings, while the teachers planted the papaya seeds.
Headmaster Haji Roslan bin Haji Md Hassan said the project aimed to generate extra income for the school by selling farm products through the students’ entrepreneurial programme as well as to teach students about farming and for the school to conducted the Garden project.
Meanwhile, STEP Centre officers conducted quizzes, competitions and group work to challenge students’ knowledge on Earth Day.
Other activities, including robotics, smart interactive park, interactive English lessons, indoor board games, painting using the banana stalk, and basic tracing skills, were also held.
The event concluded with a prize presentation by the guest of honour.
