The Belait Arabic School (SAB) hosted a Doa Kesyukuran ceremony on Wednesday to commemorate the school’s 20th anniversary.
Head of Religious Officers in the Belait District Muhammad Aliyani bin Ismail was the guest of honour.
The event started with the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah led by one of the Year 8 students of the school Ahmad Fayyadh bin Ahmad Faris. It proceeded with the recitation of Surah Yasiin and Tahlil by Zuhairin bin Abd Rahman and Ahmad Zaaim bin Haji Bagol, before concluding with the recitation of Doa Kesyukuran and Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam led by Sawardi bin Haji Mahadi.
The ceremony aimed at commemorating the school’s 20-year history and strengthen ties among its students, alumni, teachers, and staff members. – Daniel Lim
