Sarawak deputy premier hails Brunei’s dedication to top healthcare services

Deputy Premier and Minister for Public Health, Housing and Local Government for the state of Sarawak in Malaysia Datuk Amar Professor Dr Sim Kui Hian Datuk Amar Professor Dr Sim Kui Hian commended Brunei’s dedication to high-quality healthcare services.

He also underlined the importance of sharing best practices in specialised medical services, addressing common public health challenges and promoting healthcare innovation within the region.

He said this when he paid a courtesy visit to Pantai Jerudong Specialist Centre (PJSC) yesterday.

Minister of Health and Chairman of PJSC and Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) Board of Directors Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar welcomed the deputy premier at the JPMC. The visit aimed to exchange insights on healthcare and treatment services, while fostering stronger bilateral ties.

Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Health (MoH) Haji Maswadi bin Haji Mohsin, PJSC board member, Executive Director of PJSC Dr Haji Mazrul Adimin bin Haji Awang Besar and Medical Director of PJSC and JPMC Dr Meera Sahib Kabeer and senior officials from the MoH, PJSC and JPMC were also present.

The delegation toured PJSC’s facilities and visited key departments.
