ANN/THE STAR – A report that Kedah Chief Minister Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor has been arrested again is fake news, said his aide Helmi Khalid. “He is with me now in Sik. No, he has not been arrested,” said Helmi when contacted at 9pm yesterday after a news portal reported that Muhammad Sanusi was arrested in Alor Star, Kedah in Malaysia.
Checks with Kedah police showed that there is no truth in that report. “It is news to us,” said a Kedah police source.
A news portal reported that its sources said that Sanusi was arrested by police after failing to show up at a rally at Padang Serai.
