Baiduri Bank is set to hold ‘Baiduri Santai Sahur’ every Saturday, starting tomorrow from 9pm until 1am, at the bank’s headquarters’ multi-storey car park and Baiduri South Lawn.
The bank, in a statement, said it aims to support small businesses and encourage community growth through an event that “merge and celebrate the entrepreneurship spirit, sustainable values” while “enabling digital business models” to contribute to “economic development and environmental sustainability”.
With a strict no-single-use-plastic policy, the event will also feature waste-sorting stations to ensure responsible waste management.
The event will also promote cashless transactions, offering attendees who make meal purchases with a Baiduri debit or credit card or Qpay a chance to win BND10 vouchers from participating vendors, the bank said.
Head of Business Banking at Baiduri Bank Mohd Isa Liew bin Mohd Amin Liew said, “At Baiduri Bank, we believe that our engagement with the Bruneian business community goes beyond the traditional banking relationship.
“By encouraging our local entrepreneurs to adopt sustainable and digitally enabled businesses, we can collectively contribute to a more resilient and innovative business ecosystem.”
He added, “We hope to inspire the current and next generations of business owners that it is possible to make sustainable choices.”
Baiduri Santai Sahur is collaborating with Saucysside Livecook and the Gang, enhancing the event’s focus on sustainability by encouraging attendees to bring their own containers and reusable bags in return for discounts from vendors.
Their recycling efforts are bolstered by the partnership with Shaliz Waste Recycling Sdn Bhd, focusing on the recycling of used cooking oil and its export to Malaysia for further processing into valuable products.
