Happy Motoring Co Sdn Bhd, the main distributor of Honda vehicles in Brunei, unveiled the all new Honda CR-V yesterday at its showroom in Gadong yesterday.
Happy Motoring Co General Manager and Brand Principal Patrick Ling was present to unveil the new CR-V.
With an emphasis on safety, the new Honda CR-V deployed Collision Mitigation braking system designed to alert the driver when the potential for a collision is determined (such as a vehicle, motorcycle, bicycle, or pedestrian in front).
The warning will be shown on the Multi-Information Display (MID) and alert sound together.
In case there is no response from driver or the vehicle is in range of collision risk, the system will assist to reduce speed automatically to avoid collision or decrease collision severity.
The Road Departure Mitigation System with Lane Departure Warning uses the front camera to detect traffic lane lines. If the vehicle tends to move out of the detected lane unintentionally, the system will show an alert signal on the MID with a vibration in the steering wheel.
If the vehicle tends to leave the lane further, the system will activate steering torque to assist the driver in maintaining lane position. In case the vehicle moves out from a lane and there is potential for an accident, the system will assist to reduce speed (only activated with solid traffic line) to avoid collisions or decrease collision severity.
The new Honda CR-V is equipped with powertrain of 1.5-litre VTEC TURBO 188 PS engine with Direct Injection Technology and a Turbocharger to enhance acceleration and outstanding fuel efficiency.
The inside cabin of the New Honda CR-V features highlights such as the nine-inch Advance Touch Display Audio With Apple CarPlay and Andriod Auto compatibility, wireless charger, Panaromic Roof as well as 12-Speaker BOSE Premium. The flexible configuration of the seats give owner the ability to change from five seat mode to utility mode or long mode.
