I’m writing to express my deep disappointment over the unfortunate decline in the quality of the golf course overlooking the magnificent South China Sea.
When I visited the course prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, I was moved by its breathtaking scenery and illustrious history as the brainchild of one of the greatest golfers of all time.
My first encounter with the renowned course was nothing short of spectacular.
The meticulously-designed layout, coupled with a stunning backdrop of South China Sea, made every golf swing felt like a work of art. It quickly became one of my favourite golfing destinations, and I couldn’t wait to return.
However, my recent visit post-COVID was met with disbelief.
The once-majestic golf course now bore signs of poor maintenance. The fairways that were once impeccably manicured were now overgrown and patchy, and the greens that used to roll true now showed signs of neglect. It was evident that the care and attention that had made the course exceptional had dwindled.
As someone who cherishes the sport and the serenity of a quality golf course, I cannot help but express my profound disappointment. The deterioration of what was once a golfing gem is disheartening, to say the least. I hope that this letter serves as a reminder to the custodians of the golf course that its legacy deserves to be upheld and preserved.
Regrettably, unless significant efforts are made to restore the course to its former glory, I, along with many others overseas who share my sentiments, will find it difficult to return.
It is my sincere hope that action will be taken promptly to rectify the situation, allowing golf enthusiasts such as myself to once again enjoy the unique experience that the golf course has to offer.
