A large number of Indonesians flocked to the Embassy of Indonesia in Brunei Darussalam to join in the Hari Raya Aidiladha Sunnat prayers on Thursday.

Unlike previous years, more worshippers were seen arriving to celebrate the festivities together with their families and relatives after the restrictions and health protocols were lifted.

“E-PMI is an official document issued by the government of Indonesia for PMI as identification and data collection.

All requirements and procedures for making e-PMI are governed in laws and regulations with the aim that PMI’s departure to work abroad is protected by insurance and in accordance with procedures”, said Irwan Iding.

The Sunnat Aidiladha prayer was led by Asir Belli while the khutbah was delivered by Indonesian lecturer at the Faculty of Usuluddin from the Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali Associate Professor Haji Anis Malik Thoha.

Professor Anis in his sermon invited all to learn about the example shown by the family of Prophet Ibrahim (pbuh) who showed devotion to Allah the Almighty through sacrifice as the highest form of gratitude. – Lyna Mohamad
