Rural emergency services receive a boost

Rural residents will gain improved access to emergency assistance following the handover of five 4×4 off road Emergency Medical Ambulance Services (EMAS) vehicles yesterday at the Health Promotion Centre. Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary (Professional) at the Ministry of Health Dr Hajah Rafidah binti Haji Gharif handed over the mock key of the vehicles to the EMAS Head Hajah Nora binti Haji Mohd Yusof.

The ceremony also saw a demonstration on the functions of the ambulance.

Acting Director General of Medical Services Pengiran Dr Haji Khalifah bin Pengiran Haji Md Ismail, heads of departments and officials from the ministry were also present. – James Kon
