A Bangladeshi worker who had been on the run for just over two years was sentenced Monday to six months’ jail with three whippings for overstaying.
Mujahid, 28, ran from his employer on September 2, 2021.
Immigration authorities arrested the defendant in a raid at a house in Mentiri on September 27.
