RPN Kg Rimba choose new village heads of areas 2, 5 and 6

Residents of RPN Kampong Rimba elected new village heads for Area 2, 5 and 6 during the voting and selection ceremony at Rimba II Secondary School on Sunday.

Legislative Council member Yang Berhormat Mohamad Ali bin Tanjong was present to officiate the start of the ceremony. 

Haji Muhammad Nur Ihsan bin Haji Mat Jali, the candidate for Area 2, received 120 votes. 

Mohd Baddruzaman bin Awang Norzaman, the candidate for Area 5, received 30 votes.

Joefry bin Haji Mohammad Yassin, candidate for Area 6, received 88 votes.

Haji Muhammad Nur Ihsan, 39, is a resident of RPN Kampong Rimba Area 2 since 1998. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Shariah (Fiqh & Judiciary) and a Diploma in Islamic Law and Legal Practice from Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali. He currently teaches Al-Quran at the Jame’ ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah and the UNISSA Surau.

Mohd Baddruzaman, 37, holds a BDTVEC National Certificate in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering from Jefri Bolkiah Engineering College. Currently, he serves as an instructor at the Community Development Department, Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Sports.

Meanwhile, Joefry, 58, was a Deputy Superintendent of Customs, Ministry of Finance and Economy prior to his retirement. 

The results of the voting was forwarded to the Ministry of Home Affairs for further processing.
