The bridge connecting to RPN Kampong Mentiri was enlivened with flags hoisted to mark the upcoming 77th birthday celebration of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.
The flag hoisting was an initiative of the RPN Kampong Mentiri Zone 2 Village Consultative Council members to remind villagers to hoist the national flag at their homes in commemoration of the royal birthday.
Acting Village Head of RPN Kampong Mentiri Zone 2 Haji Mohammed Nizam bin Haji Julaihi also called on villagers to be active in activities and programmes organised both at the village and national level. – Azlan Othman
